HOW MANY PLATE LOCKS DO I NEED?
Plate Locks install around the outside perimeter of the steel plate crossing. To determine how many you need, follow these simple steps:
- Measure the plate length and width.
-
Calculate the perimeter:
Perimeter (ft) = 2 × (Length + Width)
-
For multiple plates:
- If plates touch each other, measure only the outside perimeter.
- Do NOT count internal seams.
- If plates do not touch, calculate each plate separately.
- Select the correct kit size based on total linear feet required.
Quick Example:
4' × 8' plate → Perimeter = 24 ft → 1 × 30' kit
6' × 12' plate → Perimeter = 36 ft → 1 × 40' kit
6' × 12' plate → Perimeter = 36 ft → 1 × 40' kit

5' sticks have cut lines every 1' and can be cut to fit any road plate size.
End-to-end means total run length = (plate length × number of plates).
